The Pittsburgh New Church School
Pittsburgh’s New Church School (PNCS) is a great option for Pittsburgh area families. It is a high quality (but still affordable!) small, private, independent, Christian school. At its Point Breeze location, you’ll find these programs:
- Pre-K and Kindergarten,
- Elementary school, Grades 1-5,
- Middle School, Grade 6-8
The school has been located on its beautiful, quiet – except at recess time – campus since 1930, when it moved from Shadyside, where it had operated since its founding in 1885. The school serves a mix of students from the surrounding area, and students from families in the local New Church congregation.
The Pittsburgh New Church School is a great option for families in the area who want:
- the academic quality of a top private school,
- the values and affordability of a church-affiliated school,
- the creativity and relaxedness that you might find in a Waldorf or Montessori school,
- the flexibility and friendliness and responsiveness that small schools can offer.
Here are some of the the school’s unique advantages:
- Small classes
- Superb academics
- Good friends
- Strong bodies
- Active minds
- Growing spirits
- New Christian values
- Bright futures
